Who We Are

Creation Call is a dynamic ministry of the High Point Chinese SDA Church, or High Point, dedicated to exploring the intersection of science, faith, and facts. Our mission is to help individuals deepen their understanding of creation and its practical impact on both spiritual and everyday life. Through our Creation is Crucial conference, we aim to bring people together to discuss the essential truths of creation and how these truths influence daily living. The event will feature insightful presentations and interactive sessions that connect scientific discoveries with faith, offering practical perspectives on how understanding creation can enhance our daily experiences and decisions. While our ministry continually supports engagement with these vital topics, the conference provides a unique opportunity to see how the concept of creation can make a real difference in your everyday life and worldview.

The High Point Chinese Seventh-day Adventist Church serves the Greater Collegedale community. It prides itself on the following Mission and Vision:

Our Mission:

“To Teach, To Preach, To Heal”(Matt. 4:23) and then harvest!

Our Vision:

“We exist to know God, to heal with love, to testify and live out God’s good news (of love, truth, justice, freedom from sin) and finish God’s Commission!”
(1 John 4:7–21, John 8:32, Luke 4:18–19,1 Peter 3:15, Matt. 28:19–20, etc.)

Our Pastor:

Born into the home of a Chinese Adventist pastor, Dennis Li navigated financial hardships and challenges to his faith during his childhood. In 1999, Dennis graduated from East China University of Science and Technology, embarking on a successful career as a salesman. His hard work and dedication soon led him to become a partner in a thriving business, and he continued to excel as its president until a divine calling tugged at his heart, prompting him to realign his life with his deeply rooted beliefs in 2013. Responding to this spiritual awakening, Dennis left his business and pursued a theology major at Southern Adventist University in 2016, where he found a renewed sense of purpose and passion for ministry. His wife and he founded a Chinese Student SDA fellowship during his years in Southern Adventist University, which flourished into the first Chinese SDA church in Southern Union. Today, he is a pastor of High Point Chinese SDA Church, nurturing a dynamic and multicultural congregation in Collegedale, Tennessee, with his dedicated leadership team. Inspired by “Christ’s method,” Dennis Li and his team established High Su Vegetarian Restaurant, the first Center of Influence in Collegedale, Tennessee, to extend hospitality and build meaningful connections within the community. Currently, Dennis and the High Point Chinese SDA Church are passionately developing the High Point Center Mission Project—a self-sustaining center of influence. Despite challenges, their unwavering commitment to creating positive change and impacting lives through shared faith remains strong. Amidst his journey of faith and service, Dennis treasures his role as a devoted husband to Lulu Li, whom he married in 2008, and a loving father to their two sons, Brian and Benjamin. His family is the cornerstone of his life, providing the love and support that fuel his mission to inspire and uplift others. In his spare time, Dennis enjoys cooking, gardening, and finding joy in simple pleasures that keep him connected to his roots and faith.

Our History:

The High Point Mission Group was formed in 2019 through the combined efforts of many dedicated individuals. Leading the way were Pastor Dennis Li and his family, along with a group of God-fearing believers who opened our doors with a clear goal: to bring the local Chinese community closer to Christ. This vision has since soared to even greater heights, as God has blessed us with a vibrant, multicultural congregation today.

To reach and influence a broader group within our community, we have developed multiple ministries, each designed to serve and uplift in unique ways:

  • Caring Ministry

  • Hospitality Ministry

  • Men’s, Women’s, Youth, Teen, and Children’s Ministries

  • Digital Ministry

  • Health Ministry

  • Evangelism Ministry

  • Chinese Language Sabbath Services

  • Prayer Ministry (weprayforu.com)

  • Online Ministry

We actively seek opportunities to be involved in our community through various events, including the beloved Chinese New Year festival held at the Collegedale Commons.

Together and through Christ, we strive to bring hope and love to Collegedale by uplifting the message of the gospel.
